Richard Jenkins, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025 in Litchfield Park, Arizona surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Marfa, Texas on July 22, 1942 and the youngest of four children, Richard moved to California with his family at a young age. A resident of the Los Angeles area for most of his life and working in the title industry,
Richard eventually settled in Studio City, CA where he remained for over three decades before moving to Arizona at the end of 2024 to be close to his sons.Richard built and maintained many friendships that he cherished throughout his years, some that were nearly lifelong. The bond he had with his closest friends was truly special, and turned these friends into family.A lifelong USC Trojan fan and proud season ticket holder for more than 30 years, Richard loved attending games with his wife Linda and his children. He was also an avid Boston sports fan, and could often be found rooting for his Red Sox on television and encouraging umpires who made bad calls to have their heads examined.Richard cherished spending time with his family, in particular weekend movie outings together to see new releases. His sharp memory and wit served to make him the go-to consultant on all things film and television within the family. Rarely was there a conversation that didn't include "so, what have you been watching lately?"
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Linda Jenkins, and his children Rick Jenkins, Steve Jenkins, and Jennifer Jenkins.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on November 1, 2025, at 02:00 PM at Don Cuco Mexican Restaurant at 218 E Orange Grove Ave Burbank, CA 91502.Richard will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family.
