Back in 1967 I carried an adult route for Dick. Then in 1969 Dick
was instrumental in my being hired
as a full time district Mgr. I worked for Star tribune for 32 years retireing in 2001. I have many fond memories of the time I spent with Dick both on the job and
off. My thoughts are with you Susan
and the rest of your family.

My father Joseph Mclaughlin worked with Richard at the Star Tribune and I always liked going down there with him on his days off when I was little, because I would always see Richard (or Dick, as I knew him) and each time I did he gave me a quarter. I am sorry for your loss.

Sue,
We grew up on Olive Street with you and your wonderful parents living just 3 houses down. Your dad was such a warm, loving person and will be missed dearly by many people. I'm so sorry for your loss but know that with the spiritual presence of both of your parents your holidays will be a blessed one. Take Care.

Susie and Family,
We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad/Grandpa. We are sorry we were unable to make it to the services, we found out the day of. Susie your Dad was a great friend to my Father in-law. When Jeff and I lived in Dave's house in Coon Rapids with our then 1 year old boy(23 years ago),our son called your Dad "Grandpa Dick". Your mom and dad were great neighbors, and they will be missed by many people. You and your family have our deepest sympathy.
