On August 21, 2025, we bid farewell to Richard Parrish Jones-a man whose boundless curiosity, quiet strength, and deep compassion left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Rather than dwell in sorrow, we choose to honor a life lived with grace, purpose, and unwavering love.
Born in Maryland on April 25, 1956, Richard brought light and resilience into the world from the very beginning. Throughout his remarkable journey, he exemplified empathy, generosity, and courage-especially in the face of illness, including his brave battle with COPD. His life was a testament to the power of kindness and the beauty of selflessness.
Richard's greatest joy was being a father to his son, Michael. Through his love and guidance, he instilled values that will continue to ripple outward-touching lives and inspiring hearts for generations to come.
He is lovingly remembered by his son, Michael Jones; his in-laws, Karen and Leland Elliott; and his sister, Mary Richins.
