Richard, Joseph, and Connor Miller Obituary
Richard Joseph Miller, Jr. (Gramps) 67, died Thursday, July 11, 2024, in Seneca County, as result of injuries sustained in an accident.
He was born January 18, 1957 in Willard, OH, and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1975. Rich started at the Perkins Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter in 1980, and in 1988 became full-time. He then rose to the ranks of lieutenant, and then on to Captain. He retired after 40 years in 2019. He was also a Medic for Firelands Regional Medical Center ER since 1993.
He was a member of the International Association of Firefighters. In his free time he enjoyed working on home improvement projects. Enjoyed the yearly four wheeling trip with his firefighter family. Looked forward to the Miller fest each year. Above all else he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Rich is survived by his wife, Sharon (Hamm) Miller, to whom he was married for 44 years; son Chris (Brooke) Miller; daughter-in-law Jena (Barnes) Miller; 5 grandchildren Summer, Braylen, Haley, Beckett, and Wesley; sisters Sharon Miller and Carol (Ed) Reider; brothers David Miller and Chuck (Barb) Shupe; and several nieces and nephews.
He entered into eternal rest with his son Joseph and Grandson Connor
He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Monica Miller, Sr.
Joseph Brandon Miller (Daddy), 41, of Vickery, died Thursday, July 11, 2024, in Seneca County, as a result of injuries sustained in an accident.
He was born July 1, 1983 in Sandusky, OH, and graduated in 2002 from Margaretta High School/EHOVE. Joe started his working career at the age of 13, working for Chet's Garage. In 2002 he was maintenance at Cedar Point, moving forward to become maintenance supervisor for Heidelberg Materials.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and mushroom hunting. Shared the love of horses with his daughter, target shooting with his children, spending time at the family camper, four wheeling, and working on anything mechanical. He was a true Jack of all Trades.
Joe is survived by his wife, Jena (Barnes) Miller, to whom he married September 23, 2006; daughter Haley; son Wesley; mother Sharon Miller; brother Chris (Brooke) Miller; several aunts and uncles; and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Richard and Monica Miller, Sr.; maternal grandparents Fred and Mozell Hamm.
Connor Joseph Miller (Bubba), 13, of Vickery, went to see his Lord and Savior Thursday, July 11, 2024, in Seneca County, as a result of injuries sustained in an accident.
He was born November 12, 2010, in Sandusky, and was an 8th grade student at Margaretta Schools. Connor was a member of the Venice Road Baptist Church, the Target Master's 4-H Club through Sandusky County Sportsmen Club. He loved football, swimming, throwing discus and shot put in track, gaming, hunting and fishing, and loved all animals.
Connor is survived by his mother Jena Barnes Miller; sister Haley; brother Wesley; maternal grandparents Tom and Becky Barnes; paternal grandmother Sharon Miller; uncles Chris (Brooke, Summer, Braylen, Beckett) Miller and Brad (Melinda and Lincoln) Barnes; great grandfather John Barnes; great grandmother Joann Thompson; and several aunts and uncles.
He entered into eternal rest with his father Joseph and grandfather Richard.
He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Carol Barnes; and great grandfather Clayton Thompson.
Visitation for Richard, Joseph, and Connor will be held from 1-7pm Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Faith Church, 3020 E. Strub Road, Sandusky, and from 10am until time of services at 11am Thursday at the church. Pastor Wayne Keith will officiate and burial will be within Castalia Cemetery.
