Richard Armenta Lagemann, born on September 26, 1983, in Mt. Home, Idaho, passed away in August 2024. He was born at Elmore Memorial Hospital to his mother, Nancy Armenta, and was lovingly raised by his adoptive parents, James, and Marlena Lagemann.
Ricky grew up in Pittsfield, Illinois, where he graduated from Pittsfield High School in 2001. He furthered his education in criminal justice, attending Lincoln College for two years. Ricky dedicated most of his professional life to working in corrections, beginning his career at Bowling Green Correctional Facility in Missouri. In December of 2006, he relocated to Idaho, where he continued his work in the field.
Ricky's passions included music, baseball, classic cars-especially restoring his cherished 1964 Impala-and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors, making memories with his family on his grandpa's farm. Above all, Ricky treasured the time he spent with his son, Landin, who was the light of his life.
He is survived by his beloved son, Landin Lagemann of Mt. Home, Idaho; his mother, Nancy Armenta of Mt. Home, Idaho; his father, James Lagemann of Pittsfield, Illinois; his brother, Robert (Tina) Martinez of Nampa, Idaho; his sister, Elke (Beau) Britt of Maywood, Missouri; and his grandfather, Don Fadeley of Mt. Home, Idaho. Ricky is also remembered fondly by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Marlena Lagemann; his grandmother, Loretta Fadeley; and his grandparents, Ed, and Rosemary Lagemann.
A celebration of Ricky's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Rost Funeral Home in Mt. Home, Idaho, with burial to follow.
Ricky's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His family and friends will forever cherish the moments shared and the lasting impact he made on their lives.
