Richard Earl Little, 63, a cherished automotive mechanic and passionate motorcycle enthusiast, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025, in Hamilton, Mississippi. Born on February 3, 1962, in Aberdeen - Monroe County - Mississippi, Richard, affectionately known as "Shaft", touched the lives of many with his dedication to his craft and vibrant spirit.
Throughout his life, Richard excelled in his career as an automotive mechanic, showcasing a remarkable talent for understanding and solving the challenges of vehicle repair. His hands were often stained with grease and oil—a testament to his unwavering commitment to providing excellent service. Beyond his professional endeavors, Richard was known for his love of riding motorcycles with the Easy Riders Motorcycle Club, where he forged lasting friendships and created countless memories on the open roads.
Richard is survived by his beloved family, who will forever hold him in their hearts. He is survived by his son, LaMarcus Dion Smith, and his daughters, Natalie Marie Harris and Jennie Lynn Harris. His brothers, Jessie James (Lula) Little, Charlie (Sonjua) Little, and Eddie B. (Nana) Roberts, along with his sisters, Dorothy Ann (Robert) Diggs and Susanna Trimble, will remember him for his laughter, kindness, and the bond they shared.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie S. Little, and his mother, Martha Lee Roberts - Little. Richard also is preceded in death by his brother, Phillip J. Little. He was connected to a rich family heritage, with his late paternal grandparents, Charlie Little and Jeanette Little, and late maternal grandparents, Q.T. Roberts and Mattie Roberts, who shaped the values he held dear.
Visitation for Richard Earl Little will take place on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Following this, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Bread Of Life House Of Worship #2 in Hamilton, Mississippi, starting at 1:00 PM.
As we reflect on Richard's life, we are reminded of the profound impact he made on those around him. His legacy will live on through the memories shared by family and friends, and his spirit will continue to ride alongside those he loved.
