With deep love and cherished remembrance, the family of Richard Lovisolo, Sr. shares the news of his peaceful passing on November 29, 2025, surrounded in spirit by those who loved him most. Born February 10, 1938, in New York City to Norma (Grossi) and Joseph Lovisolo, Richard lived a life grounded in integrity, devotion, and unwavering commitment to family.
A longtime resident of Scarsdale, NY, Richard found joy in life's simple gifts-time with family, meaningful conversation, good food, and the comfort of home. He was also a lifelong, passionate Iona Gaels basketball and New York Yankees fan, faithfully following his teams through every season and sharing that love across generations. Whether celebrating victories or analyzing tough losses, cheering for the Gaels and the Yankees was one of his greatest joys and a treasured tradition with those he loved.
A proud graduate of Power Memorial Academy and Iona College (now Iona University), Richard dedicated more than 30 years to the North American corporate offices of Panasonic. Over the course of his distinguished career, he rose from the consumer electronics sales division to serve as President of the Panasonic Service Corporation. His leadership, work ethic, and steadfast sense of responsibility defined his respected professional life.
In 1961, Richard married the love of his life, Gloria Ann (Principe) Lovisolo, at the Church of the Annunciation in Crestwood, NY. Their marriage of more than six decades was a testament to partnership, affection, faith, and the welcoming home they created for their children, Richard Lovisolo, Jr. (Evelyn) and Angela Lovisolo. Richard cherished his role as "Poppy/Grandpa" to Nicholas, Victoria, and Matthew, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride.
Richard is predeceased by his beloved wife, Gloria; his sister-in-law, Barbara Principe; and his nephew, Vincent Principe. He is survived by extended family who dearly loved him, including his cousin Lauren Marchetti Robbins; his brother-in-law Amedeo (Matty) Principe, Jr.; his nephews Amedeo (Matty) Principe and Aduari (Dau) Bueno de Camargo; and his grandnephew Vincent Principe.
He will be remembered with love by all who knew him. Richard's strength, generosity, quiet wisdom, and his spirited devotion to both his family and the sports he loved enriched countless lives. His presence will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home on Wednesday December 3, 2025 from 11:00- 4:00 PM. A Catholic Mass celebrating Richard's life will be held at the Church of the Annunciation in Crestwood, NY, at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY on Thursday December 4, 2025. The Mass will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend in person.
