Richard Keith McConnell, 64, of Brevard, passed away on April 6, 2024. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of Frances Wright McConnell and the late Porter McConnell. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry McConnell.
An outstanding mechanic, he loved to fix and repair most anything with a motor: cars, four-wheelers or motorcycles. He especially enjoyed riding four-wheelers and motorcycles and his dog, Chico.
He also enjoyed fishing, watching old movies and listening to music, but really loved his family.
His survivors include his mother, Frances Wright McConnell; his children: Richard McConnell (Jasmine) and Kimberly McConnell; his brothers Kevin McConnell (Trudy), Roger McConnell, and sister Kimberly McConnell; and five grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Richard McConnell will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 13, 2024 in the chapel of Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations with Rev. Joshua Holden officiating.
