Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Richard “Rick” Douglas McCoy, 76, died Monday, November 10,2025, at White Oak Manor, Rock Hill.
A native of Rock Hill, SC, Mr. McCoy was a son of the late Johnny McCoy and Martha Jane Reynolds McCoy. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and working with his hands on projects like woodworking. He was compassionate as a caregiver to his wife, Debra McCoy, for many years. He was an Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his stepdaughter, Laura Betts; and four cousins, Lila Weaver, Dirt (Bobby) Doster, Sandy Weaver, and Penny Weaver (Jonathan). He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra McCoy; and cousin, Johnny Weaver.
He and his wife will be buried together at a later date at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
