Richard (Dicky) Howard McDaniel, 65, of Liberty, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025 at his residence surrounded by family. He was born August 5, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of George McDaniel and Mamie Sue Whittington McDaniel. He loved his family, fishing, and racecars.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Brooks McDaniel; his son Tate McDaniel and his son Zak McDaniel and wife Lindsey, and mother Sherry McDaniel; two grandchildren, Ainsley McDaniel and Tripp McDaniel; one brother, Wayne McDaniel and one sister, Debbie Brown and husband Chuck; two nieces, Misty Dossett (Adam) and Autumn Herndon (Kendall); great grand nieces and nephews, Carson and Frances Dossett, and Noah and Noel Herndon; one special uncle, Bill Whittington (Debbie); one special sister-in-law, Becky Moore; one special niece-in-law, Scarlett Sharp; and his beloved animals.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Sandra Kay McDaniel, one granddaughter, Annie McDaniel, mother and father-in-law, Donald and Allie Brooks, two brother-in-law's, Donald Brooks Jr. and Mike Moore.

We would like to thank Hospice Compassus and his special nurse Amanda Mabry.

Visitation is Monday September 8, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, MS. from 1:00 P.M. until time of funeral services at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral Home, officiated by Joe Law. Graveside services will follow in New Zion Cemetery.

Pall bearers are Tate McDaniel, Zak McDaniel, Chuck Brown, Dusty Meche, Randall Sheets, and Joe Law.

Honorary pall bearers are Tripp McDaniel and Keith (Kemo) Brown.
