Richard Allen Mclaughlin, 67, Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly on February 19th, 2025, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Surrounded by family. Born on November 24th, 1957, and raised in Sandusky, Ohio, Richard Joined the National Guard, for which he served for over 10 years. Richard also worked as a truck driver for his father's trucking business, "McLaughlin Trucking Company", as well as Ohio Veterans Home for a number of years, here in Sandusky.
Richard is survived by his 2 Sons, Daishun(Amber) Mclaughlin of Lima Ohio, Donte (Kristen) Henry of Lima Ohio and 1 daughter; Barbra(Hakeem) Adeniyi of Lima Ohio. His 2 Grandchildren, Diava and Davion Glen of Lima Ohio, and a great granddaughter, Asariah of Lima. His 4 Siblings; Yolonda Rogers, Rhonda Mclaughlin, Tracy Morgan, and Eddie Morgan: all of Sandusky Ohio. His Stepfather, Eddie Morgan Sr in New Orleans Louisiana, and Partner Teresa Ballie of Sandusky Ohio. Richard will also be missed by his Multiple Nieces and Nephews including: Donyele Mclaughlin, Andre Mclaughlin, Andraa Moore, Demario(Jasmine) Rogers, Ebony(Edward) Gresham, Ariane Darden, Malisa Darden, Deyana Hunter, Marcus Mclauglin, Dana(Brittany) Mclaughlin, Jenny Lyons, Alberta(Alec )Hartman, Destiny Swain, Emerald Morgan, Areshia Darden, Emerie Morgan, Jayden Green, Julianna Morgan, along with a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Richard is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents; Thomas and Dorothy (Evans) Watts, Paternal Grandparents; Willie Sr and Mattie(Richey) McLaughlin, Parents; Elmer and Alberta McLaughlin and Roseann Lebron, Brother-in-law: Derek Rogers.
Richard enjoyed watching his western shows, listening to music, talking about his history of driving trucks, and being around family.
Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky will be assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
