Richard "Dick" McNaboe ObituaryRichard "Dick" McNaboe, age 83 of Watertown, SD passed away on July 16, 2025 in Sioux Falls, SD
Funeral service will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00pm Monday, July 21, 2025 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel.
Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.
Richard "Dick" Sherwood McNaboe was born on January 11, 1942 in Huron, SD to James and Helen (Landrigan) McNaboe. Richard lived in Iroquois, SD up until the first grade when his family moved to Tyndall, SD due to his father's job. He attended elementary school in Tyndall. He attended High School in Watertown, graduating with the class of 1961.
On June 16, 1962 Richard was united in marriage to Colliene Kleven at the IC Church in Watertown. He served in the US Army, attending basic training in Fort Leonard Wood, MO and AIT in Fort Belvoir, VA. He was sent to war for 1 ½ years in Germany.
Richard had a career in the auto parts industry for 40 years and also worked for Angus Palm for 10 years. He was a member of the Holy Name Church, the Elks, American Legion, Watertown Booster Club and the VFW. He was an avid bowler and hunter. At home he enjoyed watching all the sports on TV.
Richard's life will be forever cherished by his wife, Colliene; his daughters, Sherri (Jason) Pickthorn, Wendy (Joel) Eisenbeisz and Kelli McNaboe; four grandchildren, Jacob (Emma) Pickthorn, Joshua Pickthorn (Jacey Hayen), Cooper and Bennett Eisenbeisz; and sister-in-law, Lydia McNaboe.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; his brother, Gene McNaboe; and sisters, Marlene (Don) Kiszer and Rita (Darrell) Foiles.
