Richard F Mede Jr.

Richard F. Mede, Jr. 54 of Whiting died Saturday April 22, 2023 at home with family. Born in Brooklyn he was raised and resided in Manalapan for 35 years before moving to Whiting 19 years ago. He was a self-employed Home Improvement Contractor. He enjoyed the great outdoors, especially hunting & fishing, camping and his enormous vegetable garden. He liked to cook and made a great linguine & white clam sauce & loved to barbeque. Rich had a great sense of humor and was a friend to many in need, especially the elderly. Richard is predeceased by his father, Richard F. Mede Sr. and brother-in-law, Pietro Villante. Surviving is his mother, Petrina Mede, 4 sisters; Donna Pratka & husband Robert, Mary Daly & husband Mark, Hazel Ulrich & husband Tybaldt, Josephine Mede, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews and great nephew. Memorial Gathering is Thursday 4-7 PM with a 6 PM service at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester.
