Richard Paul Melbourne, age 59, of Poplar, MT, passed away on February 6, 2025, at St. Vincent's in Billings, MT. Richard, the son of Richard P. Yellow Owl and Wilma M. Melbourne, was born on November 13, 1966, in Poplar, MT.
He worked odd jobs when available. Richard enjoyed spending time with his wife, friends, and family as well as root digging, fishing, walks or cruising and listening to CCR and oldies.
Richard is survived by his sister Cheryl Melbourne-Martell of Poplar, MT; brother Lawrence Melbourne of Portland, OR; son Stanford Melbourne of Regina, SK; daughter Richelle Melbourne of Sioux Falls, SD; granddaughter Uriyah Necklace of Grand Forks, ND; nephews Darwin Melbourne, Floyd Martell, Duane Martell, Anthony Melbourne, Thomas Melbourne; nieces Vanessa Red Star, Jessica Red Star, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Martell, Dawn (Jesse) Martell, Wilma Martell, and Sabrina Martell; special family and friends Adam and Jade, Diane and Bunkers, Lil'Man (Samantha) Longee, Kenda (Martin) Martell, Theresa Sun Rhodes, Margorie Keiser, Jessica Sun Rhodes, Angeline Cheek, John FastHorse, Ducky Bird, Frank Martell, Almyra's brothers, the Cheek's, Yellow Hammer's, Martell's, Melbourne's, Sun Rhodes', Yellow Owl's; adopted daughters Laney Boadle, Evangeline (Johnathan) RunsThrough, and Tanya Nation, if anyone wasn't mentioned I do apologize under the circumstances of all this I apologize there was a lot of family, friends near and far to remember.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Melbourne, father Richard P. Yellow Owl; sister Sandra Melbourne; brother Lyle Melbourne; son Richard Melbourne Jr.; wife Almyra GrayHawk-Melbourne; aunt Linda Melbourne; grandma Susan Melbourne.
