Rich was a special Penn State Legend~ I watched a tough Pittsburgh guy prowl Beaver Stadium sideline to sideline on Saturdays, then he became a Super Bowl champion with the Redskins on Sundays. Rich took me to see Purdue's Drew Brees play at Happy Valley...we walked over to the Lasch building to view Cappelletti's Heisman. Rich introduced me to the football coaching staff as they arrived pre-game. Then, Joe Paterno came through the door. He glanced at Rich and approached him with a big smile and an outstretched hand. "Hey Rich. I haven't seen you in awhile". Rich shook his hand and respectfully responded, "Hello Coach. You guys keep asking me for money..." I was so grateful that a Legend took the time to provide a fellow alum a very unique game day experience. Farewell Nittany Lion!
