I also left my heartfelt condolences on the funeral home's web site that features this beautiful picture of Richard and his beloved dog Sadie. My brothers and I were very close to Uncle Bub and Aunt Ruth's children growing up, with me being especially close to his older sister Sue Ann. She and I are still super close. I know how hard this loss is for her, as it is for Kathy and all of you Miner kids. He was a very good person, with a ready smile and gentle soul, much like his parents. We Honeys and Miners had such a happy childhood together thanks to our parents and grandparents. Never to be forgotten. In our hearts forever. Rest in peace, dear Richard. Maureen

Richard and I were close in age and as kids played together at Rice's Resort and at the ballgames and picnics at Uncle Bub and Aunt Ruth's. Those were great time and great fun. Richard was a jovial guy and we enjoyed playing together. I'm sorry he has left us and for any suffering he endured. My heart is out to all his family and our cousins. We were lucky to have those times as kids.

I have wonderful memories of Memorial Day picnics with cousin Richard and Uncle Bub's family home in Southfield, as well as summer vacations at Rice's Rustic Resort on Round Lake. Richard was a bighearted and good-humored guy. I'll always think of him fondly, as will my siblings, Mike and Maureen. Our love and sympathy to all the Miner cousins and their spouses and families. Aunt Kathy and the extended Miner family, we are so sorry for the loss of Uncle Rich. Such a fantastic person, unassuming and never looking to be the center of attention. He had a special way of sitting back, observing everything and then sharing some funny quip to make us laugh. The nieces and nephews on this side of the family called him "Funny Uncle Rich". He made our family outings even better--many times adding levity to help through spicy situations. He was a blessing to have in our lives. With love, Bob, Jane, Lauryn, Kathryn and Daniel Rosinski
