Richard "Tyler" Montee

Richard Tyler Montee was born on August 1, 2008, and passed away October 29, 2025, at the age of 17.

Tyler is survived by his loving parents, Richard and Mandy Montee; and sister, Ashlyn. Tyler was the cherished grandson of Gwen Gunter and the late Mike Gunter of Honoraville, AL, Marlene and Jim Blossfield of Phenix City, AL and Marjorie Montee and the late Rex Montee of Camden, AL. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles who adored him dearly and a host of cousins who shared in his joyful spirit. Tyler was preceded in death by his uncles, Joshua and Lee Montee.

Tyler's passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember Tyler for the way that he lived and for the profound impact he had on the lives of those that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Tyler had a compassion for animals and was known as the animal whisperer by his family. He loved playing video games and sports with his friends. He enjoyed traveling with his family, and always loved the beach.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL 36526, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 4PM – 8PM.
