Rich created a lunch tradition at Nick and Tom´s restaurant every Tuesday, I´m happy to say the tradition lives. We normally have on average, 8 guys in attendance. The group includes Aiken and Oak Hills grads. It´s a bunch of old guys talking sports and politics. It´s very rare for Rich´s comments or positions on a topic not to be referenced. To a man we miss him dearly and greatly appreciate the time we had with him!

I went to Chase Elementary School with Rich and was not a better person to know. Several years ago I met him and some friends in Tennessee after not seeing him for years as I moved out of state.
Played golf and rehashed the old days more importantly we stayed in touch and just spoke on the phone two weeks before this passing. In all these years never heard one person speak nothing but good things about Rich.
Will miss him... RIP Rich.....

It's been a blessing to have Rich in my life. From our friendship in high school to our recently renewed contact. This has led a very to a special experience in my lifetime. His remarkable sense of humor has never wavered, as testified by Alex, Eric and Karl. I can only imagine the number of friendships he's had through the years. Aside from his numerous friendships, his love of his family has always stood out. In nearly every one of our conversations he would mention a member of his family from Carol to his boys and grandchildren, to his great grandchildren.
What a great legacy to leave.
Rest in peace my good friend.

I was fortunate enough to be included in the Tuesday lunch group. He, and Joe were the hearts of the group. I loved being in Richie´s presence; he was a great guy with a unique sense of humor. I enjoyed his story´s of past sport´s endeavors. I loved him and will sorely miss him. God bless his soul, and may he be in the kingdom of heaven. Mark Floyd

Known Rich since we were kids growing up in Northside. Many memories. Whether it be playing basketball at the old Chase school playground. Hanging out at the Rec Center playing softball all day or just hanging out shooting the breeze. Those were very happy carefree times. He always had his humorous spin on things and had us all laughing. Will sorely miss him at our Tuesday get together for lunch. RIP old friend. Hope to see you again.
