Richard Stanley Moosekian

Richard (Rick, Ricky, Moose) was born March 15, 1956 in Dearborn, Michigan. He sadly passed away at the early age of 68 on September 19, 2024 while living in Allen Park, Michigan.
Rick attended Dearborn Public Schools where he met lifelong friends that he still kept in touch with. He graduated from Edsel Ford High School in 1974. To his classmates, he was known as Ricky. He was classified as the "Class Clown," and did whatever it took to make his friends laugh. He would tell many stories of his schoolboy adventures and shenanigans in and out of school with his friends. Most of these friends referred to him as a brother. He was always there with a beer and to reminisce, or "shoot the shit" is what he called it.
Rick started at a very young age painting bicycles and putting together models of cars. He loved cars and they were definitely his passion. At the age of 18 he started his lifelong career of being an auto body painter. His first job was at a shop called Motor City where he started painting Cobra Mustangs. Later on he started working for Roush Industries. There he painted countless cars and had the honor of painting Jack Roush's planes. His final job was at Motor City Solutions where he made a lasting impact and shocked and saddened his fellow employees of his untimely death. Rick's love of painting cars was not just his job that he only did at a shop; He painted and detailed his own vehicles in his own garage or helped paint those of others. He took great pride in his work.
While not at work or painting cars, Rick enjoyed listening to music, driving his Dodge Challenger around and having a cold one with a friend. He would call up friends and family and talk to them for hours. He adored cats and took amazing care of them with some living more than 20 years. Above all, he loved his friends and family. He started many conversations with, "I'm so glad to hear your voice." and ended many conversations with an, "I love you."
Rick was known to everyone for his infectious laugh and charming smile. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was packed full of sarcasm and jokes. He could make up silly lyrics to real songs on the spot. He would never let you forget the Good ol' days. He will be sorely missed by so many.
Rick was part of a great family. He leaves behind: Daughter, Allison Anderson (David), Son, Scott Moosekian (Ashley), and Daughter, Elizabeth Mell (Tony). Grandchildren, Kaitlyn Anderson, Nicole Anderson, Heath Moosekian, Warren Moosekian, Nolan Mell, and Carter Mell. His sister, Maryrose Murphy (Michael) and his brother, Michael Moosekian (Patricia). He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Moosekian and Marie Swender, sister Jill Moosekian and brothers Jack Moosekian and Glenn Moosekian.
Rick was in the process of retiring and spending the rest of his life with his girlfriend Susan Vega and his cherished family. Sadly that didn't happen, but we are rest assured that when he passed he was extremely happy. In this, we can all take comfort.
His granddaughters were/are actively involved in the Woodhaven Marching Band. It was decided to have any donations in his honor to go to that and benefit children wanting to expand their love for music in any way possible.
