Richard Mulieri Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. on Dec. 15, 2025.
Richard Michael Mulieri, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Hazlet, New Jersey, on December 12, 2025, at the age of 80. Richard was born on November 13, 1945, in Queens, New York, to his late parents, Nicholas and Anna (Petruzzi) Mulieri.

Richard's early years were spent growing up in Queens NY, and then Palisades Park, New Jersey. On May 10, 1969, he married the love of his life, Carol Mulieri, and together they embarked on a journey of love that would span 56 years. Their union was blessed with two sons, Brian and Kevin, who together brought joy and pride to Richard's life.

Before his retirement, Richard had many successful years working as Director of Sales and Branch Operations for Best Tile in Keyport, New Jersey. Richard's passion for sports was a defining aspect of his life. An avid fan of the New York Mets and New York Giants, he found joy in the thrill of the game. His love for baseball extended beyond mere spectating, as he dedicated many years to coaching little league baseball with the Hazlet Youth Athletic League (HYAL), shaping the lives of young athletes with his guidance and mentorship.

Above all, Richard adored his family. He was a loving presence in the lives of his beloved wife, Carol Mulieri, his loving sons, Brian Mulieri, and Kevin Mulieri and his wife, Angela Gorman, his cherished grandchildren, Samantha, Ciara, and Sophia, and his treasured great-grandchildren, Oliver, Finnley, and Maverick. He was soon expecting his fourth great grandchild. His legacy of love and kindness is reflected in the close-knit family he nurtured and the cherished memories they hold. May his family and friends find comfort in the knowledge that his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he loved and in the many lives he touched.

Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
