Richard "Pete" Scott Nifong

July 1, 1942 - August 4, 2025

Richard Scott (Pete) Nifong, 83, of Walkertown, went home peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, from his home, Monday, August 4, 2025.

He was born July 1, 1942 in Davidson County to the late Clifford Albert Nifong and Sallie Rutledge Nifong. Pete was the second of seven siblings. He also was a retired contractor.

Pete married Rebecca Fulp Nifong on May 27, 1966.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Lamarr Nifong; his sister's, Sandra Zink and Willa Sowers; and his nephews, Lee and Travis Zink and Chad Sowers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Rebecca Fulp Nifong; his beloved daughter, Tamara Nifong Hutchins; his beloved grandsons, Matthew Jones (Betsy) and Ryan Jones; Ryan's loving girlfriend Tori; step great grandson Wyatt; many cherished siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Services to celebrate Pete's life will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at REVO Church Walkertown Campus. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. 1:45 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
