My boyfriend Jason and I, Mona Gray became good friends with Rick, as the manager of Motel 6 in Erie since 2017. He took such great care of us as guests there on many weekends and holidays with our 2 small dogs, that we started to share personal stories with him. We even brought dog toys and gifts cards to him for his dog Lucy, who he loved dearly. We only found out today about Ricks passing away in January, which made us both very sad. We had called the hotel to ask for him about our upcoming reservation and talked to the new manager Rob. I told him that because of Rick, that I had sent dozens of people to stay at that hotel. I am hoping that his daughters get our condolences, even at this late date. And also his girlfriend if she was still in his life. I am an RN, and I had told Rick to call me if he ever needed my services. I live 2 hours away in Washington, Pa. but would have been able to be there for Rick, as a nurse and good friend! So sorry that I never heard anything, and couldn“t help.
