SIDNEY - Richard "Dick" Hayes Peddemors, age 87, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025, at Wilson Health Hospital in Sidney, Ohio. He was born February 18,1938, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Ide J. "Joe" and Eva (Hayes) Peddemors. He married Linda Rauh on August 20,1990 in North Carolina, and she survives.
Dick will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all those who knew and loved him, in addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: David Peddemors, Anaheim, CA; Lynn (Jim) Utrecht, Troy, OH; Jon (Teresa) Peddemors, Attica, MI; Cindy (Ryan) Flemming, Anna, OH. Fifteen grandchildren: Ann (Brendan) O'Neil, Claire (Pim) Frederix, Gregory Hartley, Allison Utrecht, Chase Peddemors, Kyra Peddemors, Mason, Lillian (Franco) Fenech, Elizabeth (Garrett) Robinson, Grace Peddemors, Joseph Peddemors, Kloie (Nate) Osborne, Naomi, Alyvia and Gabriel Flemming; eleven great grandchildren: Lucas, Owen, Noah, Nathan, George, Henry, Francis, Carmen, Eric, Iason, and Azriel.
Dick attended Piqua Central High School and graduated in the class of 1956. He was an elder and deacon for over 50 years with Miami Valley Bible Students in Piqua. Dick worked for Five Rivers Metro Parks in Dayton, Ohio as a park's supervisor, before his retirement in 2003. He loved to learn through bible study and greatly enjoyed working on family genealogy.
A Time to Honor the Life of Richard will be held Saturday, November 15,2025 at 2:00pm at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, 646 W. High St. Piqua, Ohio 45356 with Elders Bill Davis & Harry Wildblood officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:00 pm prior to service at the funeral home. Condolences and Loving Memories may be left for the family of Richard online at www.melcher-sowers.com.

We will miss Dick. It was always pleasant to visit Dick and Linda whenever Mi Sook and I could get back to Sidney. We know that Dick is with our good Lord.
