Richard Quast Obituary
Richard was a proud 1952 graduate of Beloit College, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.
Richard married Patricia Boyles in Arlington Heights on June 15, 1954. They were married for 29 years until her death in 1986. Richard married Cynthia Hess on August 14, 1993 in Jackson, Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by wife, Cynthia; wife, Patricia; father, Gustav; mother, Bertha; brother, Robert.
Richard had a distinguished career at Grainger, where he worked for 45 years. He spent a majority of his retirement in Wilson, Wyoming and traveling with Cynthia. He loved hiking throughout Switzerland, planting flowers in the yard and spending time with his grandchildren.
Richard is survived by son Robert (Anne) Quast; grandchildren Patricia, Joseph and Trevor Quast, Christina Klose, Hanne and Kurt Hess; step-son David (Tania) Hess and step-daughter Laura Klose.
Richard was adored by his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.
Visitation Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 3:00 until 8:00 pm, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004. Funeral Service Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Funeral Home. Interment following at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Dick was a fine leader and person...worked with him and his staff often at Grainger. His love for hiking in Switzerland was legendary and he provided great advice for our trips there. Our sincere condolences to his family on their loss.
