Richard Racusin, 80, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022.
He was father to Bob Racusin; Ronni (Russell) Stuart; and Ashley (Sean) Moriarty; grandfather of Laz, Sari, Brayden, Avery, Mia, Charlotte and Conor; and much loved by Faith Brodsky Racusin.
Richie was the proud owner of Racusin's clothing. Everyone in Northeast Pennsylvania in the 70s and 80s knew Racusin's and likely bought a suit there. Richard always greeted his customers with a smile and funny stories. He was truly in his element at his store.
Richie loved sports and was a great athlete. He was an accomplished baseball player growing up in Kingston in his early years, and he was a great tennis player throughout his life. He was a horrible golfer, but let's be honest, we all are. He loved Philadelphia sports and followed the Phillies' and Eagles' amazing seasons up until his passing.
He loved his children and grandchildren very much and was always concerned for their well-being. He was a friendly, sarcastic and funny guy and loved to have a good time with dear friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services at 1 p.m. Sunday in Roosevelt Memorial Park, 2701 Old Lincoln Highway, Trevose.
Contributions in his memory can be made to the American Brain Tumor Association.

So sad to hear about Richie´s passing. My deepest condolences to Ashley and all of his family. I met Richie and Jonelle in the 80´s thru my long-time best friend, Mary Sugalski-Murtha (Jonelle´s cousin). He needed help at Racusin´s and I worked there thru my undergrad years at Wilkes. Richie knew everyone who came into the store and of course he did, he sold the very best men´s clothing in the valley, with the added bonus of him being his friendly and personable self to all. His customers, many shopping with him for generations, would always ask for him. He was one of the good guys and I will always have fond memories of him. RIP Richie.

So sorry to hear about Rich passing away! I recall us playing together when I lived on E. Vaughn St. in Kingston, PA from K to grade 3 when my family relocated. I believe he lived on Lathrope St. at the time. Years later when I was a senior at Bloomsburg State College, I visited his family´s store there. I needed a new suit for my student teaching experience. Money was tight for me then, and to my surprise, Rich was working when I visited the store. He convinced me to buy a 3-piece, olive green, corduroy suit by MacGregor. It had a brown, suade vest that enabled one to create different looks, even using the jacket as a sport coat. To my surprise, he sold it to me at his cost which really saved me a lot of money. It was so kind and generous of him! That suit lasted into my teaching career in NJ.
Rich was always so friendly and had a smile for everyone!
