He and Connie had vacationed many times in Florida and decided to relocate to Gulf Breeze, FL in 1986. After relocation, Rich worked in Civil Service at NAS Pensacola for the next 14 years processing parts for US Black Hawk helicopters.

It was in Gulf Breeze that Rich was baptized. He loved attending services at Coastline Calvary Chapel in Gulf Breeze, FL. He actively participated in Men’s Bible Study and supported those in need by visiting them in the hospital.

They even traveled together with their church to Israel where they visited many holy sites and came back with lots of photos and stories. They also purchased a home in the mountains of NC where they frequently stayed all Summer to avoid the Florida heat.
