Richard “Rick” Allen Rude 50 of West Fargo, ND died December 11, 2025, with his family by his side.
Rick was born in Devils Lake, ND July 10, 1975, to Robert & Mary Rude and grew up on the family farm in Tolna, ND. Baptized and confirmed at Sigdal Lutheran Church rural Tolna and attended Tolna Public School and worked at Lundeby Evergreens while in school.
Rick met the love of his life Nikki Iverson in 1991. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married October 3,1998 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cooperstown, ND.
Rick was passionate about camping and traveling with his wife. Some of the special locations they went were Jamaica, Dominican Republic, New Orleans and many cruises. When they weren’t traveling, they could be found at their camper on Stump Lake. You could be sure Rick had a hefty fire going and the drinks pouring. Rick and Nikki also enjoyed older vehicles which led to them buying and restoring a 57 chevy. In his leisure time he enjoyed hunting, was a season ticket holder to the Fargo Force Hockey and taking trips to the mountains to snowmobile.
He is survived by his wife Nikki Rude, West Fargo; siblings Paulette (Tony) Janusz, Grand Forks; Don (Sheila)Rude, Tolna; Rikki (Scott) Boura, Cooperstown; Donna (Phil) Emmert, Tampa; Brian Vanek, Breckenridge; four nieces & eight nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Mary Rude, June Rude, both paternal and maternal grandparents, & father-in-law Larry Iverson.
He will be missed every day, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
A celebration of life is planned for the summer of 2026
