Richard “Ritchie” Monroe Pirkle, 53, of Cumming, Georgia passed away January 17, 2024 at his home. Ritchie was born April 24, 1970, in Decatur, Georgia. He was a lifelong resident of Cumming. Ritchie was an avid golfer and a University of Georgia football fan. He was a lifetime member of Roanoke Baptist Church in Cumming, Georgia. Ritchie graduated from Forsyth County High School in 1988 where he excelled in basketball and baseball. Ritchie graduated from Truett McConnell College in 1991 with an Associate Degree in Business Administration. He graduated from North Georgia College and State University in 1994 with a BBA in Business Administration/Management. Ritchie began his work life early as he worked in the family business, Beverage and Market Stop in Cumming, Georgia. Ritchie had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need.
Ritchie was preceded in death by his father, Alvie Pirkle; brother, Matt Pirkle; maternal grandparents, Brice and Helen Bennett; paternal grandparents, Joe and Laura Pirkle; uncle, Brice Bennett. He is survived by his mother, Charlene Bennett Pirkle; sister, Amanda Embrey; daughters, Ali (Matthew) Connor and Riley Pirkle; nieces, Emma Pirkle, Anna Bryce Embrey, Hadley Embrey; nephew, Cason Pirkle; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends he claimed as family.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Roanoke Baptist Church with Rev. Ruel Martin and Rev. Clark Watson officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Ave., Cumming, GA 30040 and Sunday at Roanoke Baptist from 1:00 pm until service time.
