Richard B. Robitaille

Richard (Rick) B. Robitaille, age 65, a resident of Manchester, NH formerly of Dracut, MA passed away peacefully at Elliot Hospital on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved partner of Denise Dubois with whom he shared 21 loving years together.
He was born in Lowell on May 23, 1959, and was the son of the late Raymond O. and Mary E. (Thibodeau) Robitaille.
Rick was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast and loved spending his afternoons riding. He was a great friend to many and loved to have a good time. His love of racing and Nascar transferred into a career when he proudly established Rick's Auto Repair in Lowell, MA. Rick went on to have many other successful professional talents including a business in demolition with his long time friend Jay Nixon of Hampstead, NH. Richard was an active member of the Derry Memorial VFW Post #1617 and you could always find him there sharing a story with friends that he considered family. He was an ever-loving and proud Pepe to his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Many have said Rick had 'nine lives' after surviving multiple near death car and motorcycle accidents, which is an attribute of his courage, perseverance, determination, and will for life. He will be remembered for his love of life, family, racing, riding, and his ever infamous "Ooyee".
Richard is survived by his loving son, Justin Robitaille and his wife, Alyssa, his grandchildren, Justin (Jr) and Anna all of Chester, NH; his daughters Angela Gavin and Christina Andrukaitis; his brother, Thomas Robitaille and his wife, Linda of Sutton, NH; his sister, Donna Floyd and her husband, Jim of Naples, FL; his nieces, Heather Bower of Stowe, VT and Tracy Horton of Lowell, MA, and many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his nephew, Mark Ritchey.
A special thank you to the nurses and doctors at The Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH who took wonderful care of Rick in his final days.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. His Funeral Service and Interment will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made in Richard's memory to Derry Memorial VFW Post #1617.
