Dick was a very special person to many especially to our family. There are so many memories such as 1/2 gallon of ice cream that were eaten by the boys and Dick at a sitting, the many lunches or after church dinners we would have with the family. How many times did we go to their house and sit in their driveway and play/sing/listen to music. So many instruments Dick sat and had patience to teach each and everyone of us....all of us Wilhelm sisters. I was able to visit with Dick a few years ago at a restaurant and I'm so glad I had this opportunity. You will be miss..but you will pick'n and sing' in heaven.

I have very sweet memories of both Ruth and Dick Rolph They welcomed a very hurt and confused 8 year old girl into their family. Gave love and guidance and a place to be a child.
I will always love and respect them both! They were quiet a team! God used them both in many ways! I know they are picking and singing for God now!

Such fond memories of Dick Rolph. Watching him direct the band at Carsonville church, whether it was a youth rally or a fellowship meeting. Talking & having fun with him on the campgrounds at Mountain View, Missouri during junior or youth camp. He was always such a kind & thoughtful man. Loved God. I know he leaves a legacy to many people for their love of music. I believe he taught some of my nieces. Thank God for men like Dick Rolph.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Dick at McDonnell in the 1950's. He was a very intelligent man and responsible for some innovative computer programs in the early days of computing at McDonnell. I also remember he square danced and always carried a guitar pick in his pocket. He will be missed.

Dick impacted so many lives. There is a large group of young people who owe their knowlege of music to Dick. We had band practice at church where I learned to play the guitar. Now that says something, because I really played the piano. ha...up to 15 or more at a time learning chords, and songs we would be playing in church. One fond memory was after we learned a song, Dick had us change instruments one by one during the performance...One would start off playing the guitar, tag the piano player, then play different instruments. He would take us on field trips, We became family. He was truly a mentor to me. I have been involved in music all of my life. I thank God for Dick's dedication to teach others. My Mom and Dad were close to Dick and Dad played the guitar. When Dad began to deteriorate due to Alzheimers, Dick would visit them. Dad and Dick would spend the afternoon playing and singing the old songs...This mean't so much to them, and to me. Ricky, Eddie, Mark...Thank you for sharing your Dad with us. You were like my brothers. Your Dad's Legacy will carry on through so many lives.

Mr. Rolph lived his life in accordance with his faith. An upbeat, considerate man with natural smile. Never too busy to talk to you about your life. In addition to all his other rose in life, he was an amiable neighbor to the Laposa family. Lahko poitek v veni mir / May he rest in eternal peace.
