Although born in Italy, Rich resided in Chicago through grammar school; Bellwood, Illinois through high-school; and then lived his remaining adult years in Berkeley, Illinois. Rich worked for over 40 years in the tool & die industry at Clarich Mold in Westchester until his retirement in 2012, passionately served as a part-time fireman for Berkeley for over 35 years, and continued working as a school crossing guard up until his death.
Rich will be fondly remembered by his family, friends, and co-workers especially for his sense of humor and generous nature. Rich loved animals. He and wife Kathy had many beloved pets over the years: dogs, cats, birds, and fish. He attended St. Domitilla Catholic Church in Hillside. In his free time, he enjoyed working on house and yard projects, playing a round of golf, bingo, and cards. Rich will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who knew him.
