I only knew Richard for a few years, but I admired him for his love of Jesus and as a Sunday School teacher. I remember coming into the sanctuary early one Sunday morning, and there was Richard, up on a 20-foot ladder changing a lightbulb above the platform. I've heard other people talk about how he mowed the church's grass, wearing his floppy fishing hat. He was a physical therapist, and it just seemed unfair to me that he had Parkinson's Disease. I thank God for the privilege of knowing him; he was a real blessing.
