Richard "Pop" William Seyda, Jr., age 73, of Gloucester, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025. He was born on June 22, 1951 in Norfolk, VA. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Army. After retirement from the Army, he worked for civil service at the U-Do-It Center on base. He loved watching MASH and scratching lottery tickets while enjoying a cold Pepsi. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his five children, Garrick Seyda, Kathryn Cunningham (Robert Crocket), Elizabeth Crockett (Devin Soukup), Sandra Edwards (Sean), and Jimmy Cunningham; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Gayle Valentini and Sandy Howell (Bob), and Teresa Seyda. The graveside service will be held at Albert G Horton Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 11:00 am with military honors. Services under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home.
