Richard Dick Shaw

Richard V. 'Dick' Shaw, age 92, of Cridersville died 9:40 a. m., Tuesday, Sept. 4 at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born Aug. 16, 1920 in Cridersville to Edith M. (Shaffer) Shaw and Cloyd F. Shaw who preceded him in death. Mr. Shaw graduated from Cridersville High School in 1938. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired from St. Rita's Medical Center Patient Accounts Office in 1985. He was a member of Cridersville United Methodist Church, the Cridersville Historical Society, the Lawrence Valley Grange and V. F. W. Post 8445. Funeral services will be 11:00 a. m., Friday Sept. 7 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville with Rev. Charles Martindale officiating. Burial will follow at St. Matthew Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Cridersville United Methodist Church.
