Richard L. Sinex Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on January 6, 2026, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, surrounded by his cherished family. Born on December 23, 1950, in New Albany, Indiana, Richard's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family and his deep love for various hobbies and interests.

A proud graduate of New Albany High School, class of 1968, Richard went on to serve in the United States Naval Reserve, enlisting on September 20, 1970. There, he rose to the rank of E-3 and received the National Defense Service Medal before being honorably discharged on October 21, 1975. His military service was a testament to his character and commitment to his country.

Throughout his life, Richard found joy in numerous activities. An avid fisherman, golfer, and bowler, he enjoyed spending leisure time outdoors and embraced the beauty of nature. He cherished quiet moments sitting on the deck with his beautiful wife, Sandy, whom he treasured for 48 years. Their shared love for going to the beach and listening to music created lasting memories that shaped their life together.

Richard's proudest accomplishments were found in his family. He was deeply devoted to his wife Sandy, his son Matt (Tracy), and his grandchildren, Keigan and Makinna. Each moment spent with them was significant, and he found great joy in being a loving father and grandfather. He held dear, his nieces, nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Richard L. Sr. and Betty Sinex, who shaped the man he became. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will be forever cherished by those who knew him.
