I can still hear Dick´s (as he was called then) laugh. The best steel applicator J&L ever had. A generous soul who always had a smile on his face, regardless of how he felt. A legacy I wish on everyone.

I miss you more and more everyday and I miss your smile or you calling me "so darn cute". You used to lighten everyones day or even make someones day doing the most easiest things. We all miss having my papa in our lives! Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

I knew Rich from LTV and IDS for many years. He was a good friend. I did enjoy joking with him and talking about old times at the mill and the common friends that we had. I was sorry to see him leave IDS and now I am sorry to see him leave this world where he will be missed by so many.

Our home is not the same. We were witness to his incredible strength and iron will to live for the love of his life, Terry, who is no doubt his equal! Know as I stroll pass what was your VA home this past year, my thoughts and prayers are with you and that I am forever changed and grateful to have been part of your family and to have heard the wonderful memories you both shared.

I had the pleasure of working (and bowling) with "Dick" - as he called himself at that time - in the early 80's, when he was a star applicator at J&L Steel. I know he changed it to "Rick," later on, but had not idea that he was also known as "Butch."
He was not only great at his job, he was a truly caring and genuily funny guy.
I'm gladto have had the priviledge of knowing him. My warmest wishes go to all his loved ones.

God's blessing to Rich, Terry, Kim, Kelly and their Grandchildren.
Rich and I worked together since the early 70s and became like brothers sharing just about everything at work and on the outside. He would do anything for you, forever with his big laugh and always had my back.
Had the honor to know his wonderful family, Terry, Kim and Kelly attending social events like bowling-lost more money to those lovely young girls for bowling strikes. Rich even won us a league championship with him bowling like he never bowled before!
One of Rich's favorite stories for me was when Kim or Kelly was at Deaconess Hospital and saw my wife Diane who worked there at the time. They asked her if she was Stoyka's Mom! Diane still hears that from me all the time!
Rich, I'll see you in heaven.
Love you all!

For me I will always remember Rich greeting people at church with the biggest smile. He was always happy and smiling every Sunday. Would do whatever needed to be done. He did everything as unto the Lord. He will be missed.
