Richard Marvin Smith

Mr. Richard Marvin Smith, age 73, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away on January 26, 2026.

Richard was born on September 12, 1952, to the late Marvin Smith and Mary Frances Smith. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend to many.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Smith; his children, Rickey Smith (Jennifer), Danielle Turner (Justin), and Bradley Smith (Sidney); and his grandchildren, Jeremy (Marissa), Ashleigh (Jacob), Miranda (Trek), Jacob, Hannah, Arabella, Hunter, Noah, Gabbey, Kaden, Ashton, Ellie, and Avary. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Emmarie, Harper, Elleigh, Bryson, Kahlani, and Ahmari. He is further survived by his siblings, Melinda Browning (John), Terry Smith (Martha), and Pamela Ray, along with a host of extended family members and friends whom he loved dearly. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jane Riner.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026, in the Chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Richard will be remembered for his love for his family, his kind heart, and the many lives he touched throughout the years.
