Richard Philip Snyder (Dick) was born on April 8, 1945 in Philadelphia and passed away on October 18, 2025 after a two-year courageous battle against cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Flossie, and his most beloved son Todd.

He is also survived by Pat and Fran Walsh, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, niece Jennifer, nephew Patrick (Christina) and his great nephews and niece, Christian, Nolan and Ashlyn who brought joy and wonderful craziness to his life.

Dick was an only child and was the son of the late Marvella and Eugene Snyder, both also only children. Dick was embraced by Flossie's extended family and is survived by the McDowell's, the Hayes' and Pontoski's and their extended families.

Dick owned and operated LifeSport Fitness Center for over 37 years and had the good fortune to meet many wonderful people, including dedicated and supportive staff members, many of whom become good friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral mass at 10:30am on Thursday, October 30th, 2025 at the Cathedral Basilica of SS Peter and Paul, 18th and the Ben Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia. A viewing will be held in church from 8:30am-10:30am. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society at bloodcancerunited.org or the High School Life Skills Program at St. Katherine Day School, 211 Matsonford Road, Radnor, PA 19087, c/o Rosemary Faris.
