Richard W. Sonntag III, PhD

Richard W. Sonntag III, age 51, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017. Richard was born near Alamogordo, New Mexico and, following some short stints in Philadelphia and San Antonio, was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from University of New Mexico with a bachelor's of biochemistry in 1993 and a PhD in pharmacy and biochemistry in 2003. He worked for the State of New Mexico Dept. of Health as a laboratory scientist during his studies at UNM. After graduating, he worked for Walgreens in Albuquerque for 11 years. Upon moving to San Antonio, he worked for CVS Health for almost 4 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard W. Sonntag Jr., MD; and his wife, Jeanne Przekurat. Richard is survived by his mother, Barbara Boyer; his brother, Eric P. Sonntag and his sister, Heather H. Sonntag.
