I flipped over my calendar the other day and saw Dick's passing day. As well as you we all do miss him but time does pass quickly along with the healing that follows. Now my Dear Sister you are moving into a new chapter for the Mickey Chronicles and we'll be there to give you a little hand when needed.

It has beedn one year since Dick's going on to his better life. There are days that I cannot imagine living without him, but now the pain is not as intense and I have found some peace. To you all who love and remember Dick, I want to thank you for that love. Continue to remember him with love and kindness, as he smiles down on us. Love to you all for your great support during this past year and to many years ahead in comfort and peace.

Its me again. I thought perhaps I would write when Dick Died. He died on May 4th, 2009, in our home of 18 years. He got up from sleeping and looked to just slip off the bed, and rested on the floor. Our neighbors found him 2 days later. He had a blood cancer called myelodsypastic syndrome, as well as two aneursyms in his head and COPD.
Also, I just re-read what I wrote previously. When I said "Happy Time", I mean that I am so thankful that Dick passed on in the manner in which he wanted most; quickly, without warning, without pain and in his own home AND he didn't have to move. Which is what he really wanted, and without me at his side, which is what he also wanted so I didn't "cry all over the place". Ahh Dick, you always got what you wanted...and now I know he's with my mom "up there" and with many other friends he missed terribly, and family. He finally gets to meet my Dad Mike. They'll like each other, and I know my grandma will like him too.

In a SUIT?? Wow

I want to thank you ALL for the wonderful support and for remembering Dick during this sad, yet happy time for me. Dick will be missed terribly, but he did manage to leave this earth, exactly as he had wished; quickly, without pain, in his home, and leaving all with great memories. I will miss him terribly...but want to thank you all for your love and support.

My sympathies to the family. I knew Dick while he was driving the shuttle bus downtown St. Paul. He was a kind and gentle man and will be greatly missed!
