To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Msgt Retired Richard Ronald Stubblefield Born Oct.31, 1942 in Visalia, Calif, went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 8, 2023, at his home in Clive, Iowa. He left this world peacefully. Richard served in the Air Force for 22 years, attained several medals and awards. He retired in 1982 with honors. Then went to work for the Civil Service from 1982 -2000, when he retired.
Leaving behind his loving wife of 23 years Brenda Gayle Stubblefield, 2 sons, Daniel Stubblefield (Bobi) of Sioux Falls, SD, Steve Imboden (Michelle) of LaBelle, Fl. 2 daughters Cindy Arnold (Justin) of Torrington, Wy. Crystal Imboden-Hall (Ellen) of Waukee, Iowa, 2 sisters Vicki Rowley of Visalia, Calif. and Judy Briggs of British Columbia, Canada, 1 sister-in-law Ann Stubblefield of Rantoul, IL, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother Jim Stubblefield, Father Calvin Ronald Stubblefield and Mother Edith Stubblefield. A luncheon will be held Aug. 25, from noon - 1:30 at the American Legion Post 403, 910 Main St. Van Meter, Ia. 50261 Followed by Committal Service at 2 PM, Iowa Veterans Cemetery 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive at Van Meter, Adel, Ia. 50003
