Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Karen A. (Quigley) Townsend, his daughter, Katie (Ben) Daley, three sons, Greg, Eric and Sean (Megan) Townsend, two grandchildren, Jack and Maggie Daley, beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be private.

I worked with Dick while I was at Penn Traffic and he always made me laugh! If I had to think of all the people I got to work with in the grocery business, Dick always stood out. He will be missed & I know how much he loved his family & his " team"!

Such a sweet man who loved life........his family came first. I treasured his friendship and how deeply invested he was in his favorite sports teams and the state of Affairs of our country.
