Planted Trees

Jean Knowlton Hickel

January 11, 2025

Sending condolences to Dick's family from Jean Knowlton Hickel, and my brother Dan Knowlton, as we both grew up knowing Dick as a longtime friend of our parents, Dan & Nina Knowlton. We remember Dick and Betty at cookouts in our family's backyard, at church on Sundays, and at my wedding, too. I know how friendly and interesting Dick has always been and what a valuable resource he was to the Bristol Historical Society. He will be missed.

Frank Sherman and family

January 10, 2025

This is from Frank Sherman's daughter, Linda. Dad and Dick worked together at Narragansett Electric for many years. Dad always spoke very highly of him and has a lot of fond memories. I, too, remember him and always thought he was so polite. Although a number of family members live close by, Dad today is still living on his own right outside of Charleston, South Carolina and will be 95 in a month. Dad and the entire Sherman family sends our condolences to the Usher family.
