80, of Cranston, passed away Friday November 14, 2025 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Elsa (Giusti) Viti.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Benedetto and Raffaella (Procaccini) Viti.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and an extremely proud Vietnam Veteran. He was activated and served from 1968-69. He was a member of the Rhode Island 115th Military Police, honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant. Richard's family meant everything to him and he adored his 5 grandsons more than life itself. He was also an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and loved attending all of his grandson’s football and baseball games and any other event they were a part of throughout the years.
Richard was the former owner of Viti Brothers Moving Inc. for many years.
Besides his wife he was the devoted father of Richard J. Viti and his wife Kristen and Maria L. Viti; loving grandfather of Alec Kazandjian, Nick Kazandjian, Christopher Kazandjian, Ryan Viti and Kyle Viti.
He was the dear brother of Esther Botelho and the late Lewis, Steven and Benjamin Viti.
His funeral will be held on Saturday November 22, 2025 at 8:45 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Apostle’s Church 800 Pippin Orchard Rd. Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
Visiting hours are Friday November 21, 2025 from 4 pm -8 pm.
