Richard Webb Obituary
September 22, 2024
Richard Adrian Webb, 88, of Cicero, passed away September 22, 2024 surrounded by his four loving children. Richard was born in Wilmington, North Carolina on November 27, 1935 to the late Clyde Crawford and Lonnie Myrtle Webb. He served with the Air Force in Japan in 1957-1960. He retired from GM after 28 years as a general supervisor. Richard was active in the Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, Volunteer in Police Service (VIP), a member of the Lions Club, and various activities. He had a prestigious green thumb and was instrumental in creating the beautiful rose gardens at Sacred Heart Church and had a lifelong love of gardening and flowers. Dick and his wife Diana were past members of the Rose Society. He was an elegant and gifted public speaker but most importantly he had what was considered "Webb" humor and quick wit. As a couple, him and his wife had the love and ability to dominate the dance floor. His greatest joy was the love of his life, Diana, and his children, and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Jean Ruddell; and his beloved wife, Diana M. Webb. He is survived by his children, Richard A. Webb, Jr., Victoria (Dan) Coholan, Russell Webb, and David (Janice) Webb; grandchildren, Tyler and Derek Zinsmeyer, Jodi Swank, Briana Nicastro, Dylan, Connor, Colton, Erin, Jared, and Patrick Webb; great-grandchildren, Ensley, Seraphina, Deluca, Madison, Athena, and Lennon. Calling hours are Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse. A funeral mass will take place Friday, 9:30AM, at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero.
