Very sad news.
I would like to pass on my commiserations to Richards family at these very dark times.
My long lost intelligent friend "Prof" as in Professor, to have a Cambridge University degree in the UK is like you guy across the pond having a qualification from Harvard, he will be surely missed.
All the cycling and life memoirs, he is still holds and is part of the Junior 12hrs team for holding the 12hour team record award at the Bedfordshire Road Cycling Club.
He gave me the nick name "Irontrack" which is still very much with me.

Gone but never forgotten.

RIP.
