The Williams Family--Judge Williams was always a joy to be with, even when he was needling you (which was most of the time). He influenced my legal career and life in ways that he probably didn't know. He was a shining light. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Dear Williams Family,
My deepest condolences to you all. It has been an immense loss as he was truly an amazing man, and is one of the kindest and greatest people I have ever met.
I will never forget his laughter and his enthusiasm in teaching me and my cousins when we visited.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

As his law clerk 20 years ago, the Judge taught me how to view cases and enjoy life. I will forever treasure our year together.

Over many years, it was always an adventure, and sometimes a pleasure, practicing before him. But he always kept you on your tows. His sense of humor, as skewering as it could be, was marvelous to watch, at least when one wasn't the target. I have little difficulty believing he was called out the first day of school. It was a pleasure knowing him and his lovely wife.

Gwen, your dad sounded like a true gentleman with a dang great sense of humor. I bet you two had some lively discussions! He must have been so proud of you and your beautiful family.

Dear Williams Family,
I remember Judge Williams as a man with a keen intellect, firm handshake, and easy smile. I also recall his powerful voice, as if there was a hive of bees in his thorax, and his laugh. The Judge was always kind to me. Moreover, he was one of my father's most cherished friends and a mentor as well. God bless all of you in this difficult time.
With sympathy,

Dear Williams Family - My sincerest condolences to all of you and to the extended family, including myself. My mother was Dick's first cousin on the Brinkley side. I have very fond memories of family gatherings at the Williams' farm in summers and several Thanksgivings as a youngster and as an adult. Uncle Wilce and Aunt Minnie were great parents of wonderful children and grandchildren. Dick and his siblings made them proud.
