Richard "Rich" Lee Wilson, II, 54, Gas City, went to be with the Lord at 12:20 am on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. He was born in Goshen, Indiana, on Wednesday, February 12, 1969, to Richard Wilson and Virginia Honey. Richard married the love of his life, Jennifer Furnish, on October 26, 2012, and she survives.
Rich was a devoted husband, son, father, Pappie, brother, and the greatest friend you could ask for. He was a huge Colts fan, and he loved to fish. Rich also loved to spend time with his family and his beautiful grandbabies. He loved to laugh and crack jokes, as well as garden and cook on his grill.
Rich is survived by his wife, Jennifer Wilson; mom, Connie Wilson; mother and father-in-law, Cindy (Marty) Taylor; children, Shaylee (Kyle) Sullivan and Brandon (Abigail) Savage; grandchildren, Kynslee Sullivan, Jaxson Savage, and Maverick Savage; siblings, Patricia Colvin-Wilson, Tessa Taylor, Randall Wilson, Nik (Kay) Furnish, Danny (Tiffaney) Taylor, and Frid (Ericka) Wilson; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Richard Wilson, Sr.; mom, Virginia Honey Carter; brother, John Paul Wilson; and grandmother, Rachel Honey.
The family will receive visitors from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
On Friday, January 12, 2024, visitation will take place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm immediately followed by Rich's funeral service at 1:00 pm with Pastor David Hughes officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
