In memory of
Tracy Ennis

I worked with Richard for many years. He was a smart kind man who was dedicated to doing a job right. He was proud of the work he did. He was a problem solver and an investigator of sorts, if something was off or wrong, he would be the one to find and resolve it. I remember all the conversations we had.. he shared the details ... each and every one. Grant it a lot of it was way above my understanding but he never held back and never assumed that I wouldn´t get it.
Those conversations are held close as memories now. My heart breaks for family and friends. You have my deepest sympathies.

I didn´t realize that the victim in this horrible incident was a brother until a former friend of his mentioned it @ our meeting this evening and I looked up the info afterwards. Our thoughts & prayers are with the Yarborough family at this difficult time.

Richard was the best man at our wedding 37 years ago. He was a truly good person who was always there to help others. He was not just a friend; he was a pillar of support, always helping those in need. The attached photo captures a moment that speaks volumes about his character.
Richard was helping us remodel. We had a new ceiling fan and could not get it working correctly. Richard drove across town to help us with it, and this photo was taken right when he got it fixed (after others had tried and failed).
Richard's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, for people as pure and benevolent as Richard are a rarity in this world. He will be deeply missed by many whose lives he touched.

I remember the conversations we had when we were out in field service. You shared how you became a witness. You were easy to talk to and you always listened to what was being said.

He always was a kind hearted person who truly tried to imitate Christ. His smile helped hearts. He was there to help others so often. I am in shock as I know so many others are at this time.
May the God of all comfort hold each who love Richard very snugly as this tragedy is faced..

I remember him as a kind hearted and talented Brother. We were working in a neighborhood in Gray's Creek and he was telling me all about the houses in the neighborhood and their design. Rest my Brother we look forward to seeing you again happy and healthy. My love to my Sister Pam.

I worked with Richard for many years at CP&L-Progress Energy-Duke Energy.
He always treated me with respect and I thought of him as a true gentleman. He was a Company man thru and thru. You could learn a lot from him as he shared his knowledge willingly and with patience. My heart goes out to his wife and family. You will be missed.
