Rick L. Beach, Jr. passed on 2/23/26 at 7:25 pm, surrounded by his family, from complications following a heart attack. He was born March 6th, 1963, in
Ft. Madison, IA, son of Vera L. Brown of
Ft. Madison, IA, and Richard L. Beach Sr. of West Point, IA (who preceded him in death). Richard grew up in
Dallas City, IL, with his mother and stepfather Richard Howe and brother Sean Howe. He loved riding his dirt bike and spending time at the family rock quarry with his grandpa and father. He was the happiest when riding his dirt bike and racing on weekends with his brother and stepfather Jim Brown. Graduated class of 1981 from Dallas City High School. Then continued working at the family rock quarry till he left and spent 25 years at Champion Spark Plug in
Burlington, IA. He then did over-the-road trucking and mechanic work till retirement. Richard was married to Angela Teesdale in 1984. They raised one son together, Terry Teesdale, and had one daughter together, D. Nichole Beach. They later divorced. He married Jodi Clark on January 15, 2024, on the beach in
Orange Beach, AL, by his brother Sean, surrounded by family. They have 2 dogs, Luna and Lucky, who he loved greatly. Richard has always loved his motorcycles, walking on the beach, and been a lover of animals his whole life.
He is survived by his wife, Jodi Beach of
Mims, FL; mother, Vera Brown of
Ft. Madison, IA; brother, Sean (Kristyn) Howe of Orange City, IA; stepbrother, Alan Brown of
Cave Springs, AR; daughter, Nichole Beach of
Ft. Madison, IA; stepson, Terry (Brittany) Teesdale of
LaHarpe, IL; one granddaughter, Bridgette Teesdale of
LaHarpe, IL; stepdaughter, Krystal (Chad) Zeleny of
Mt. Pleasant, IA; grandson, Reese Coffman of
Mt. Pleasant, IA; stepfather, Richard Howe of
Dallas City, IL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Beach Sr. of West Point, IA; stepfather, James Brown of
Ft. Madison, IA; and grandparents, Floyd and Juanita Crupper of
Dallas City, IL, and Pete and Ester Beach of West Point, IA.
